So your interested in being a guest DJ at the hottest
Monday Night Swing Party? Here is a list of requirements:
1. You must bring your own music and headphones. We are CD DVD compatible (Yes you can play DVD's too), IPod compatible you can simply plug your IPOD to our computer and browse your tracks, MP3 or even Laptop compatible. We however will not provide you with any music or any set lists. You will be on your own.
2. You must arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your set to set up. You will have 15 minutes before and 15 minutes after to set up and strike all equipment. You will not be allowed behind the bar any other time and we will strictly enforce that.
3. Most sets will be for 30 minutes and will usually start at 9:00 P.M. If you are interested in a longer set please see DJ Jose. Longer sets will be given to those who either have experience or who are crowd favorites. In other words if you would like a longer set please have your fans let us know they like you.
4. You must be comfortable on the Mic. You will need to introduce your self, say how long your set will be, if they have any requests where to go and when you are done with your set you must announce that you are done.
5. During your set you must stay at the DJ Booth. This means no dancing to your own set since you will only be playing for a short period of time. If there are a few songs you would really like to dance to please let DJ Jose know and he will play at least 2 of them for you.
6. You must promote/advertise the night you will be playing. On your own ways thru My Space, E-mail, word-of-mouth, Etc. Etc.
7. We do track who are the crowd favorites. No preassure BUT . . . we do track wich DJ's do a good job and wich don't, this way we can bring back those who will please the crowd.
